EJ Liao — CEO & System Architect
EJ Liao brings over four decades of U.S.-Japan-Taiwan technical leadership spanning semiconductors, defense and aerospace systems, automotive platforms, embedded software, medical devices, and AI-driven infrastructure. A hands-on system architect, he has led pre- and post-silicon validation across complex SoC and platform programs, including Bluetooth audio, Wi‑Fi, 10G Ethernet PHY and SerDes, PCIe, USB, enterprise SSD architectures, and XBox. His experience includes contributions to bootloader, secure kernel, and hypervisor technologies supporting defense aerospace platforms, including the F-35 program, as well as RTOS architecture, board bring-up, and deterministic embedded systems for mission-critical environments.
His academic foundation began with a master's thesis focused on computer simulation of vehicle dynamics. He began his career at the Vehicle Research & Test Center under the U.S. Department of Transportation, where he worked on vehicle suspension parameter modeling and performance validation. He subsequently led instrumentation control and high-speed data acquisition systems supporting satellite platforms, wind tunnel testing, and earthquake simulation facilities, developing deep expertise in real-time measurement, system modeling, and high-integrity engineering systems.
EJ's technical depth extends to multimedia and connectivity architectures, including real-time video and audio pipelines, wireless systems, and high-speed interfaces. Combining executive-level strategy with practical engineering execution, he leads Edges AI Systems in delivering secure, high-performance, and safety-aligned platform solutions for global technology partners operating in regulated and mission-critical industries.
